Fruits
Fruits are important sources of vitamins and carbohydrates like fiber and sugar. They are low in calories and naturally sweet. Fruits and their juices are good sources of water, too. Different fruits contain different vitamins, so it is important to eat a variety of fruits. In a botanical sense, a fruit is the fleshy or dry ripened ovary of a flowering plant, enclosing the seed or seeds. Apricots, bananas, and grapes, as well as bean pods, corn grains, tomatoes, cucumbers, and (in their shells) acorns and almonds, are all technically fruits.
India is the largest producer of Fruits in the world and is known as the fruit basket of the world. The major fruits grown in India are Mangoes, Grapes, Apples, Apricots, Oranges, Fresh Banana, Avocados, Guava, Litchi, Papaya, Sapota and Water Melons.
